I got Covid on July 3. While I feel much better, I need to teach lessons online the week of July 11. after that week, there should be no chance of me spreading the virus to anyone in person and lessons can resume as normal

A few guidelines:

--Dress nicely (a dress/casual shirt or sweater and slacks is good)

--Do several takes and choose the best one

--You may do separate takes for separate movements

--Show your face and torso on the video

--LISTEN TO THE RECORDING BEFORE SENDING IT--poor audio quality is very difficult for me to fix for the final cut.

Good luck and happy practicing!

The plan for fall so far

--Lessons will be at my studio locations in Kirkland (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and Seattle (Tuesdays) with the option to be online at each site. I will be in a separate space or my plastic tent for these lessons.

--Mondays and Fridays will be all virtual lessons, at least until Mercer Island opens up again.

--Lessons will be spaced 15 minutes apart for my live days to air out the room with a fan or air purifier. During the mask mandates, I will have a clear tent for me and/or a playing mask/bell cover for live lessons. Virtual lessons can be requested on any day if the time is available, but please let me know in advance if you'd prefer the online option on these days.

--I will be looking into other options for Mercer Island students as fall progresses.

--Hygiene is important when playing a wind instrument. Make sure to wipe the excess moisture from your mouthpieces every time you play and store your reeds in a reed case (not on the mouthpiece).

--If you feel a little under the weather, please use the virtual option for your lesson.
